Pool care in Palmetto Bay
Palmetto Bay is a village of big lots and big trees. Live oaks, mahogany, black olive and royal poinciana shade many of the yards between US-1 and Old Cutler Road, and that canopy is the single biggest factor in how a pool here behaves. Leaves and seed pods fill skimmer baskets within days, black olive and poinciana debris can stain plaster if it sits on the floor, and the organic load eats chlorine quickly in summer. On heavily wooded lots, weekly brushing and vacuuming matter as much as chemistry.
Many Palmetto Bay pools sit under screen enclosures. Screens keep out most leaves, but they collect dirt, pollen and fine debris that rains back into the pool after storms, and a torn panel can let in a lot more than you'd think. We point out screen damage when we see it.
A lot of the housing here was built or rebuilt after Hurricane Andrew in 1992, so many pools and equipment pads are from the 1990s and 2000s. That's often the age when pumps, filters and heaters need attention. We check equipment as part of routine service and give you plain advice on repairs versus replacement. Closer to the bay, humidity and storm surge risk make hurricane prep worth planning before June.

Palmetto Bay pool service FAQs
Which part of Palmetto Bay do you serve?
Our routes cover ZIP 33158, the northern part of the village. If you're in 33157, call (786) 505-3972 before booking so we can confirm.
My yard has huge oaks. Is weekly service enough?
For most pools, yes, if every visit includes brushing, vacuuming and emptying baskets, not just a skim. If the debris load is very heavy, we'll tell you honestly what the pool needs.
What causes the dark stains on my pool floor?
Leaves and seed pods from trees like black olive and royal poinciana can stain plaster if they sit. Removing debris weekly and keeping chlorine in range prevents most staining.
Do you clean pools with screen enclosures?
Yes. We service screened pools regularly and will mention any torn panels or heavy dirt buildup on the screen we notice.
How should I prepare my pool for hurricane season?
Plan ahead: secure furniture and loose items, keep the water balanced, and know how you'll power down equipment. Our hurricane checklist walks through it.
