You're topping off more than usual
The water level drops noticeably faster than it used to, even without heavy use.
Repair / Leak detection
If your pool is losing more water than evaporation explains, Blueviel finds where it's going (the shell, plumbing, skimmer or equipment) and fixes it. We pressure-test lines, dye-test fittings and check the equipment pad, then give you a free estimate for the repair. We serve Miami-Dade, Hollywood and Hallandale Beach. Call (888) 401-7133.

01 / The symptoms
Leaks rarely announce themselves. These are the clues pool owners usually notice.
The water level drops noticeably faster than it used to, even without heavy use.
Soggy spots in the yard, near the pool or around the equipment pad when it hasn't rained.
New cracks in the deck or shell, or tiles coming loose at the waterline.
Bubbles in the pump basket or returns can mean a leak on the suction side of the plumbing.
Constant fresh water dilutes chemicals, so balance and chlorine keep slipping.
Automatic fill valves can hide a leak by refilling the pool without anyone noticing.
02 / The work
We work from the simplest checks to the most involved, so you don't pay for more testing than you need.
Check the equipment pad, pump, filter and valves for drips
Dye-test skimmers, returns, lights and fittings
Pressure-test plumbing lines to find which line is leaking
Inspect the shell and tile line for cracks
Explain where the leak is and what it will take to fix
Explain the repair the leak needs, with a free estimate before any work
03 / Good question
A simple bucket test helps tell the difference. Fill a bucket with pool water, set it on a pool step so the water inside is level with the pool, and mark both water levels. Turn off the auto-fill and wait a day. If the pool drops more than the bucket, the pool is probably leaking.
Run the test once with the pump on and once with it off. If the loss is bigger with the pump running, the leak is more likely in the plumbing.
04 / Good question
It depends on the pool and how hard the leak is to find. A drip at the equipment is quick to spot, while a leak in an underground line takes more testing. We quote after an inspection, and the estimate is free.
05 / Good question
We start with the equipment pad and the obvious spots, then dye-test skimmers, returns, lights and fittings. If the leak isn't found there, we pressure-test the plumbing lines to find which one is losing water. You get a clear explanation of where the leak is and an estimate to fix it.
Our blog post on pool leak detection in Miami walks through the process in more detail.
06 / Good question
Choose one that both finds and fixes leaks, explains how it will test before it starts, and gives you a written estimate for the repair. A company that also works on pumps, filters and plumbing can tell whether the problem is actually a leak or something at the equipment.
Where we work
We repair pool equipment across Miami-Dade from three offices: Miami Beach (350 Lincoln Rd), Miami (1555 NW 28th St) and Coconut Grove (3390 Mary St #116). We also serve Hollywood Beach and Hallandale Beach to the north.
How to book
Four steps from first call to working equipment.
Call (888) 401-7133 or request a free estimate online with your name, phone, the service you need and your address or ZIP. A photo of your equipment pad or any error code on the display helps us come prepared. We take calls and quote requests 7AM–7PM daily.
A technician comes out, checks the equipment and finds the cause, not just the symptom. We'll schedule a visit as soon as possible, depending on your needs.
Simple fixes are quoted on the spot and can often be done the same visit. Bigger repairs and replacements come with a free written estimate that compares the cost of fixing what you have with replacing it, so you can decide before we start.
Once you approve, we make the repair, run the system and check that everything is working together: pump, filter, heater and controls.
The finer details / FAQ
Common questions from Miami pool owners
Watch for a water level that drops faster than usual, wet ground near the pool or equipment, new cracks or air in the pump. A bucket test is a simple way to compare your pool's water loss with normal evaporation.
It depends on the pool and where the leak is. We quote after an inspection, and the estimate is free.
Yes. Once we've found the leak, we explain the repair and give you an estimate before we start. The right fix depends on where the leak is and what caused it.
Yes. Pumps, filters, valves and the plumbing at the equipment pad are common leak points, and they're usually the quickest to find and fix.
That usually points to a leak in the pressure side of the plumbing, such as the return lines or the equipment, rather than the shell.
Some daily loss from evaporation is normal in Miami's heat and sun. If you're adding water much more often than you used to, it's worth a bucket test or an inspection.
