It runs but the water stays cold
The fan or burner runs but the temperature doesn't climb. Low water flow, a dirty coil or the wrong settings are common causes.
Repair / Heaters and heat pumps
If your heat pump stopped heating or your gas pool heater won't fire, Blueviel can find the cause and fix it. Our certified technicians repair gas pool heaters and electric heat pumps across Miami-Dade, Hollywood and Hallandale Beach. Many heating problems turn out to be water flow, settings or sensors rather than the heater itself, and you get a free estimate before any work. Call (888) 401-7133.

01 / The symptoms
What pool owners usually notice first.
The fan or burner runs but the temperature doesn't climb. Low water flow, a dirty coil or the wrong settings are common causes.
Blank display, no fan, or a gas heater that won't light. This can be power, flow, a safety switch or the control board.
Flow, pressure and sensor errors are the most common. Write the code down or take a photo; it speeds up the diagnosis.
Short cycling often points to low flow from a dirty filter or a pump running too slowly.
Some water is normal condensation on humid days. Water that keeps pooling with the unit off may be a leak.
Turn the heater and gas supply off and contact your gas utility first. Don't run a gas heater that smells of gas.
02 / The work
We check the heater and the system that feeds it: the pump, filter, valves and controls.
Diagnose gas pool heaters and electric heat pumps
Check water flow, pressure and flow switches
Test temperature sensors, thermostats and control boards
Inspect ignition and burners on gas heaters
Clean coils and check airflow on heat pumps
Inspect heat exchangers for scale and damage
Advise on repair versus replacement when a heater is near the end of its life
We work on major pool equipment brands, such as Jandy, Pentair, Rheem and Gulfstream.
03 / Good question
The most common reasons are low water flow (a dirty filter, a closed valve or a pump running too slowly), a thermostat set too low, a dirty or blocked coil, or a sensor or control fault. Heat pumps also heat more slowly on cool nights because they draw heat from the air.
Before you call, check that the pump is running, the filter is clean and the set temperature is above the pool temperature. If it still won't heat, we'll test it.
04 / Good question
Yes. We repair both gas pool heaters and electric heat pumps, including flow and pressure switches, sensors, ignition, control boards and heat exchanger problems. If a heater has a major failure and is near the end of its life, we'll say so and quote both a repair and a replacement.

05 / Good question
Most heat pumps can be reset by turning the unit off at its control panel, switching off the power at the breaker for a few minutes and then turning it back on. Check your owner's manual, because the steps vary by model. Make sure the pump is running and the filter is clean before you restart it.
If the same error comes back after a reset, the heat pump is telling you something is wrong. Leave it off and book a repair.
06 / Good question
It depends on the part. Sensors and switches are smaller jobs, while control boards and heat exchangers cost more. We quote after diagnosing the heater, and the estimate is free.
07 / Good question
Running cost depends on the size of the pool and heat pump, the temperature you set, how cool the nights get and whether you use a pool cover. A cover and a sensible set temperature make the biggest difference.

Where we work
We repair pool equipment across Miami-Dade from three offices: Miami Beach (350 Lincoln Rd), Miami (1555 NW 28th St) and Coconut Grove (3390 Mary St #116). We also serve Hollywood Beach and Hallandale Beach to the north.
How to book
Four steps from first call to working equipment.
Call (888) 401-7133 or request a free estimate online with your name, phone, the service you need and your address or ZIP. A photo of your equipment pad or any error code on the display helps us come prepared. We take calls and quote requests 7AM–7PM daily.
A technician comes out, checks the equipment and finds the cause, not just the symptom. We'll schedule a visit as soon as possible, depending on your needs.
Simple fixes are quoted on the spot and can often be done the same visit. Bigger repairs and replacements come with a free written estimate that compares the cost of fixing what you have with replacing it, so you can decide before we start.
Once you approve, we make the repair, run the system and check that everything is working together: pump, filter, heater and controls.
The finer details / FAQ
Common questions from Miami pool owners
Low water flow is the most common cause, from a dirty filter, a closed valve or a pump running too slowly. A dirty coil, wrong settings or a failed sensor can also stop it heating.
Yes. We repair gas pool heaters and electric heat pumps, and we'll quote a replacement too if a heater is near the end of its life.
Turn it off at the control panel, switch off the power at the breaker for a few minutes and turn it back on, following your owner's manual. If the error returns, book a repair.
Heat pumps draw heat from the air, so they work more slowly on cool nights. Using a pool cover helps keep the heat you've gained.
Not always. Heat pumps produce condensation, especially on humid days. If water keeps pooling while the unit is off, have it checked for a leak.
If it's a sensor, switch or ignition part, repair is usually worth it. If the heat exchanger has failed on an older heater, replacement is often better value. We compare both in writing.
