Pool care in Westchester

Westchester grew up in the 1950s and 60s as a neighborhood of single-family homes on generous lots, and a lot of those homes have backyard pools that are now several decades old. Older pools often have original plumbing, older pump and filter setups, and plaster that has been patched over the years. Routine service here includes watching filter pressure, listening to the pump and checking the heater so small problems don't turn into a mid-summer breakdown.

Backyards in Westchester tend to be planted with mango, avocado and other fruit trees, plus palms and the occasional big oak. Fruit and leaves sink and stain, and in summer they feed algae fast. Miami-Dade's limestone ground also means hard water, which leaves calcium scale at the waterline and on equipment if chemistry drifts. Every visit includes testing and balancing, along with brushing at the tile line to keep scale from setting. Many homes also have older screen enclosures or open patios next to busy streets like Bird Road, which add dust and pollen to the water.

These are family pools that get used hard from June through August, especially on weekends. Heavy swimming plus afternoon thunderstorms is the classic recipe for a cloudy Monday, so we pay extra attention to chlorine and circulation during the summer months. Much of our Westchester work is with Spanish-speaking families, and our team is bilingual, so you can talk to us in whichever language you prefer.

Westchester pool service FAQs

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Our team is bilingual in English and Spanish. Call (786) 505-3972 and ask for service in Spanish. Also see our Spanish-language page.

Which Westchester ZIP codes do you serve?

33155, 33165 and 33174. ZIP 33175 isn't on our current routes.

Why is there white crust at my pool's waterline?

Miami-Dade's hard water leaves calcium scale when pH or alkalinity runs high. Keeping chemistry balanced and brushing the tile line every week keeps it under control.

My mango tree drops fruit into the pool. What should I do?

Remove fruit as soon as you can, because it stains and feeds algae. Weekly vacuuming and brushing handle the rest, and we'll adjust if the tree is especially heavy.

Can you work on an older pool pump or filter?

Yes. We service older equipment regularly and give you a straight opinion on repair versus replacement.
